But I bet the DA stays in place.

The DA actually has nothing to do with the DOJ report. Your thinking of the town attorney.

This doesn't mean the SLC DA office isn't corrupt and racist to the core, because it likely is. It wasn't the focus of the DOJ investigation.

The DA is an agent of the state, they don't get involved in city ordinance.

man traffic court is nothing but a total scam for cities. i think they said ferguson was making 20% of its city revenue from doing that and the feds report said that the cops and courts were working together to scam people. guess what, ALL cities in america are doing that. the american court system is nothing but a bunch of scammers for cops and big corporations but americans just dont realize it cuz theyre brainwashed from birth to worship the stupid flag

That sort of blanket characterization is unfair. What you describe varies enormously by location & degree.

This is why they should be required to ticket you under state law and not city ordinance. This way the city doesn't get much of revenue from such tickets.

Once again, since you don't seem to understand. Ticketing state versus city is much more expensive. It is also more time consuming for the offender. Paying the fine when you're caught speeding is so simple to do, and resolves all issues. You wouldn't have the same attitude if you got ticketed with a state ticket versus a city ticket I guarantee.

i've lived in the south practically forever and everyone knows you can sit out your tickets as time served. I never knew that was illegal. If you have free time{not working}, it saves money @200/day around here. I'm honestly surprised the rich haven't developed a scheme to pay others to serve their time.
Now the family court/welfare system that's pay up or jail.. yeah, that's truly ridiculous.

I understand the tickets are cheaper, the problem is for each ticket cities get more money from local ordinance tickets vs state code tickets. With state code tickets almost all of the money goes to the state court system plus the state itself. This incentives cities to issue extra tickets, as they can generate revenue from tickets.

They looted their own community. They looted businesses ran by black people. They burned down their own buildings. How does this even make sense? It doesn't. There was no excuse for their actions, don't even try to give them one. They didn't lash out against cops. They lashed out against their own.

I'm so sick of this tired, racist canard. You need to get out of your bubble, you're probably some lord of the local cracker barrel holding court pondering the great truths of society. It wasn't a community, it certainly wasn't the people's community. It was just another example of vampire white supremacy. You can take the racism out of the laws, but you can't take it out of the white man. It is systemic white subjugation of minorities that is the problem. The "community" is the store owned by the mining company where all your wage goes to.

White people don't have the right to look down on minorities and sneer to themselves "they need to be ruled". The Guilliani doctrine - Govern the black, hey its a job for my son in law. You would be surprised how much better these communities could be when you stop preying on people, stifling, haranguing, and whatever racist subjugation you people just refuse to stop practicing.

This judge needs to be hanged and hanged high! Look at all the filth scurrying from the Ferguson. For these few racists their worlds must be coming to an end. To bad its not nearly enough.

It is bullshit the tactics some of these local justice systems use.
