Buslink 16X DVD 48 ROM

I'm running a 500mhz computer with 256 ddr and 30mb HD running Windows XP. I removed a 32 speed CD rom worked great at the time of removal and replace it with the Buslink 16X (model LTD 163D) the system locates the new drive but states the driver is incorrect and the device will not function, windows does not assign a drive letter.
Any suggestions on finding and loading a driver or ANY other sugggestions would be great.
