Hey ATOT

I am simply not making enough money at the moment, so i am thinking about investing a couple of grand i have tucked away into a small business venture.

I work for an air conditioning company, so i was thinking about setting up an after hours test and tag business. target market: Places that dont want items tested during business hours, such as hair dressers, retail and domestic.

I have the necessary electrical licenses and it should not be a conflict of interestd, as long as i dont poach my works clients.

I need to sort my contractors license and insurance requirements. I need to get a business tax number.


So yeah, for those that are in business, if you have any tips, i am all ears.

Tips? Make a Google adwords account targeting your local area. Create keywords and ads based on what you think people looking for this type of service are searching for.

Post your services on craigslist. *Dont* put it in the erotic section ;-)

Do the same thing you did on google adwords on Yahoo and MSN (bing).

Call your list of clients that you think would be interested in this and let them know about your new business venture.

Just to be on a safe side, maybe hire someone to test this new company and see how your boss reacts to it.
