Long story short, my users have a ton of passwords they need to manage for web portals. Some are "shared" accounts where any agent from our business uses a single username/password to access another companies system, some are individual accounts assigned to that specific user by that specific website. As much as I'd like to say "it's part of your job to remember your passwords," there are literally over 50 signons for each user and short of putting them in an excel sheet (which is a big no-go, obviously) it's just unfeasible to keep every one straight by memory.
I'm looking for some business-oriented single sign on software with the following caveats in mind:
1) We do *not* have control over the credentials. They are assigned by the different companies we do business with and we need to call each individual company for a reset.
2) Security is paramount. We are an organization that comes under HIPAA/HITECH compliance. As such, any solution needs to have some sort of centralized management with auditing/reporting and must be encrypted. It also has to be from a tried and true reputable company.
3) It has to work in IE9. Sucks, but it's the browser of choice for compatibility.
4) It has to work for general websites, not just "SaaS" stuff like Salesforce, Office365, etc.
So far i'm looking at LastPass Enterprise as well as McAfee SSO, but there's barely any information on how they work beyond some kitschy "the future is the cloud" marketing videos. Does anyone have any experience with these sorts of products?
Thanks!
