I'm wondering if anyone knows of any professional chat systems. I'm basically looking for the following features:
- free/open source or cheap
- LAN/WAN private & secure communication
- authenticates with AD (active directory)
- logging of messages in database for SEC compliance (maybe even sends to email like google chat)
optional features:
- file sharing
- video conference
I've searched around and so far JabberXCP has the features I am looking for, but I don't know how much it costs (in process of getting quote). I would need about a 750 user license and most of those reside outside of our LAN.
If anyone can help me find this, I'd greatly appreciate it!
