Hi guys,

I was wondering any AT'er own a small business? If so, can anyone advise me as to what would be the best place to make bulk computer purchases (for a small 30 comptuer office)? I really don't need complete systems since I know people (myself included) who can put together a system from parts. Any help would be appreciated. Tx guys!

I do all of the computer purchases for my company, and we have about 30 users. To be completely honest, the easiest thing to do is to give dell a call and hook yourself up with some optiplex refurbs.

Here's a link to the refurb site. You can get some very nicely equipped Optiplex systems for ~$600-$750 without a monitor. They include OS, 1 year onsite warranty, and an additional 2 years of next day replacement part warranty.

If you order 5-10 at a time, you get 5% off. If you order 10 or more at a time, you get 10% off of the entire purchase.

The nice thing is that they all use the same parts, minus add-in accessories (zip drive, upgraded video) so you can just make one image and do your installs from an imaging utility like drive image pro or norton ghost. You've also got one tech support number to call in the event of failure and you don't have to worry about those naggy RMA's from individual companies if you were to build it yourself.
