Business level quality laptops

What are some decent business quality laptops?

The Dell Latitude series, IBM Lenovos. What else? Would getting a used one be a big risk?

i wouldnt hesitate to buy (another) used thinkpad, and ive heard good things about latitudes from others here on the forums.

i think dell also has a mobile precision line, as well.

Either would be good business choices. As for used, - it really depends on the history of the item. Some have been well taken care of and others have been abused. Ergo, the risk would be a variable that needs more info. It is not one size fits all.

Of the used Thinkpads I've bought, the ones which have been 'leased' out to companies are usually the ones in the best conditions. It seems like they were barely used or docked most of the time. You can check out the thinkpads.com forums to check what people are selling/trading.

Well I think I'm gonna jump on one of the ASUS netbooks. I just want a lightweight small footprint PC for Visual Studio programming and running a Windows 2003/2008 Webserver on it. I think the Atom processors can handle it.

I haven't seen visual studio for a while, but I'm not sure how it would be on a low resolution netbook screen. The last time I check, the Atom in the Asus netbook was slower than the celeron 900mhz that used in their first netbook. Just some things to consider.
