Business experience is so important during college...

As I prepare for graduation this May, it's nice to be able to look back and see what was and was not important as I translate into the "real world." I am now starting to see how my hard work will be paying off in the very near future (pending job offer).

My potential employer was most impressed with my work experience and didn't really place much emphasis on my upcoming degree.

Many friends of mine have held jobs at fast food joints, construction companies, retail, etc. There is undoubtably some value in that work experience, but I really do feel that my "office" experience during college is going to help me achieve my financial related goals.

Having said that, you can view my resume below:

BTW, I will be (hopefully...again, it's pending) doing sales 930 miles away from where I live now!

I was just talking to my grampa about this today. I would also add that having a ~10 yr plan today when you start college is not a bad idea. In other words, 4 years for your undergrad major and then another few years for grad school and/or your first job.

I know a lot of kids that pick random majors, then they are screwed by time they are seniors with no real "path" before them.

cool.

now spend the next 3-10 years learning how the real business world works.

primarily Politics and Relationships.
