Business partner thinks we need one. I told him I don't want to buy stuff unless we have the cash for it. Since we're
just starting out, why go out and splurge on things when we don't even have the cash and we're not making money, yet.

My credit score is flawless while his is messed up. He wants me to apply for one through AMEX, but I refuse to have another credit card to my name. However, I do understand it will be under the business name. Will it affect my credit history? I already have $7k on my two personal cards. I don't want another one with a balance. Will it even be listed on my credit report?

Altho under the business name, I would figure it depends on what business you have, Limited liability, or just a general partnership? As the latter pretty much leaves you at fault for anything. Limited liability distguishes a company as it's own entity, separate from the ower.. so i'd guess the credit history would sit w/ the company.

or am i completely off...
