This is a repost but it's worth the extra attention. Even the NY Times is all over this one. And it was clear yesterday Bush was getting fed lines the way he cocked his head like he was trying to hear a distant sound.

This is a crock. Both candidates and the moderator were wearing wireless mics on their persons, as was demonstrated before the debate started. I saw it on closed circuit TV before it went live. The picture is of bush pulling his tie back inside his coat - the wire is from the mic.

I can also tell you with 100% certainty that there was nothing in Bush's ears, as we also had some really weird camera angles giving us close-ups of his ears. They could use a shave, but there was hardly anything in them.

I think with the technology availible today they could both be wearing earpieces and nobody be able to notice....so this notion is always going to be up for debate and Bush certainly had some moments in both debates that made it appear as if he was get fed information in some way......maybe it was the voice of god/Rove speaking to him I dunno......

Why did Bush want the producers to promise not to film his back in the second debate?

Already defending Bush even with clear evidence he was wired. Show me the clear evidence Kerry was wired and then I'll admit I was wrong and apologize. If they had wireless mic's why the need for a handheld mic? You can clearly see in the clip that the mic has a flat bottom with no wire. I also noticed on Bush's left shoulder blade you could clearly see a wire through his suit back there. It couldn't of been a shirt crease because it would've flattened out when he extended his left arm like he normally does, but it held steady through all of his motions. Bush is the crock not this story.

I would also believe the wireless mic thing but why hide it? The public see's them all the time so why would you purposely hide it? :/

Yes, there is clear evidence that he was wired. HE WAS WEARING A MIC. The mod also was wearing a mic, yet he also had to use a hand mic. I saw why - because the body mics weren't working with the house speakers for whatever reason. The hand mics were brought in to go to the house speakers so the audience in the bleachers could hear what was going on. But wtf would I know, I just saw all this on closed-circuit TV when you couldn't see it. Ask myself or 799 of my closest friends from last night, the vast majority of whom support Kerry, and you'll get the same answer.

Who do you think he is? I haven't seen any anti-Bush types vacationed but maybe he's trying to throw us off.

What I've seen a lot of lately is sub-100 conservatives who have rhetorical styles awfully similar to commonly banned trolls.

With all due respect, I just want you to show me evidence that Kerry was wearing a wireless mic as well. The moderator is not the candidates. If Bush was wearing a wireless mic. Why would then they have to hide the wireless mics themselves? It's not like we've never seen them before. It's not like the public doesn't know they exist. It's not like they are an eye sore.

Also let's say for a moment that he was wearing a wireless mic this time around, so let's assume he wore a wireless mic in the last debate as well. Why in the world would then his campaign advisor when asked to comment about the bulge in his back would say this, "There was nothing under his suit jacket," said Nicolle Devenish, a campaign spokeswoman. "It was most likely a rumpling of that portion of his suit jacket, or a wrinkle in the fabric." Why if it was a legal wireless mic not admit it? :/ Things are very fishy and people are catching on. I just want the truth like everyone else here. Open your eyes my friend, they are hiding something.

The Mystery of the Bulge in the Jacket
By ELISABETH BUMILLER

WASHINGTON, Oct. 8 - What was that bulge in the back of President Bush's suit jacket at the presidential debate in Miami last week?

According to rumors racing across the Internet this week, the rectangular bulge visible between Mr. Bush's shoulder blades was a radio receiver, getting answers from an offstage counselor into a hidden presidential earpiece. The prime suspect was Karl Rove, Mr. Bush's powerful political adviser.

When the online magazine Salon published an article about the rumors on Friday, the speculation reached such a pitch that White House and campaign officials were inundated with calls.

First they said that pictures showing the bulge might have been doctored. But then, when the bulge turned out to be clearly visible in the television footage of the evening, they offered a different explanation.

"There was nothing under his suit jacket," said Nicolle Devenish, a campaign spokeswoman.

"It was most likely a rumpling of that portion of his suit jacket, or a wrinkle in the fabric."

Ms. Devenish could not say why the "rumpling" was rectangular.

Nor was the bulge from a bulletproof vest, according to campaign and White House officials; they said Mr. Bush was not wearing one.

Let me get this straight. The reason for wearing a mic is so that people can hear you better, right? So the ideal position for this mic would be under one's clothing. Gotcha.

To be fair I think they were supposed to use the type of mics you wear on your clothing but when Charlie Gibson was addressing the auditorium audience they found that the sound wasn't being pumped into the auditorium so I think they went to the hand held ones at the last minute. It might be shown on the CSPAN replays, it happens just before the debate starts when Charlie Gibson is talking to the audience about the Red Sox game.

this whole thing is hilarious. He adjusts his tie so he has a mic? Gimme a break. He cocked his head b/c he heard john kerry say something ridiculous that pissed him off.

I agree I don't necesarily buy the mic part. But his back had a hard object that was most likely a receiver. Now, as for the cocking his head: John Kerry didn't say anything ridiculous. So that can't be it.

I'm a pinko liberal commie, so I try not to wear ties. Nonetheless I have several, and know how to tie them. I suppose we could always ask Brigden about the current state of tie fashion, but my personal experience is that none of them have ½" wide tails that are 12" long, and I don't tuck the tails between the buttons of my shirtfront.

Who knows, maybe the dub is in on a new fashion.

Bush has wood. He claims his wood company ownership as a small business for the tax loops. So he can get you wood. He's a liar too.
