We shouldn't have an average joe as president.
What was Kerry's immediate family like anyways?

Bush is worth millions. He should give his money to the poor and only then will he get the respect that he needs to gain that liberal vote.
He needs to lose that silver spoon and should stop sucking on mama Bush's tit.

...usually hanging out on the deck of JFK's boat in Martha's Vineyard, like most common folk did at that time.

you can say that all you want, but you'll still be drowned out in face of the mighty Bush Propaganda machine!

Good point, but you know keeping up the image takes Bush a considerable amount of time. 500 vacation days so far into his presidency. That brush isn't going to clear itself you know.Originally posted by: Strk

Shouldn't he be running the country?

Most average folk who identify with Bush, do so not because of his money, nor because of his ranch--they identify with him because of his intellect. More specifically because of his very average intellect.
I'm not of the opinion that Bush is of low intellect, he isn't--but he is the very definition of mediocre.
In a nutshell, Bush is a true mediocre intellect.
This is comforting to some (?), but I prefer the president of the United States to be at least above average.
well, lets see if your hateful screed has any truth to it...I prefer the president of the United States to be at least above average.
To offset the steady downward drift of test scores over the years, the scoring scale was adjusted upward so that the mean score for both math and verbal was again 500 (the midpoint on a scale of 200 to 800). Those who took the test before 1994 are now entitled to add a prescribed amount to their scores to see how they compare to students today...Doing the same for Bush gives him 640 on both verbal and math, good enough for 88th percentile on the verbal and 86th in math were he entering college now
