Bush is worth millions. He should give his money to the poor and only then will he get the respect that he needs to gain that liberal vote.

He needs to lose that silver spoon and should stop sucking on mama Bush's tit.

He can relate to the Average Joe in a way that Kerry never will...

He looks good in a cowboy hat.

Agreed. His southern drawl is not born of the average joe but of a man who can afford to spend his time hunting and fishing. That's NOt the average person, not even the average Texan.

Not too many average Joes have long-term family ties to the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia, have owned baseball teams, got daddy to pull strings to avoid serving in combat duty, got into Yale and then an MBA from Harvard.

Ayup...just a regular Joe.

And? Find a post where I say John Kerry is an average joe. I've always said we're dealing with two men who have more wealth than almost every one of us will ever see in a lifetime of work.

What was Kerry's immediate family like anyways?

you can say that all you want, but you'll still be drowned out in face of the mighty Bush Propaganda machine!

they're both rich but one guy is hard working in his ranch, the other is hardworking in his yacht. Which one is easier to sell to the public?

Good point, but you know keeping up the image takes Bush a considerable amount of time. 500 vacation days so far into his presidency. That brush isn't going to clear itself you know.

Most average folk who identify with Bush, do so not because of his money, nor because of his ranch--they identify with him because of his intellect. More specifically because of his very average intellect.

I'm not of the opinion that Bush is of low intellect, he isn't--but he is the very definition of mediocre.

In a nutshell, Bush is a true mediocre intellect.

This is comforting to some (?), but I prefer the president of the United States to be at least above average.

While Kerry's family did have status, they lacked the kind of wealth made famous by the Kennedy and Bush clans-

Family history

So it's a whole different deal than Dubya's.

And I'm sure it's a different attitude about it all. Kerry seems to know he's mostly lucky, Bush seems to think he's anointed by God, his fortune and prominence being a sign of God's favor....

I dont think thats it. I dont think they identify with his intellect so much as Bush himself seems like a person. Kerry seems like a debutante. As for mediocrity, the best managers in business are those that are mediocre at everything rather than good at a few things and bad at more.

I wouldnt feel comfortable with Kerry as head of our country. How many photos of kerry do we see with Kerry as part of the scenery? We see him lurking arounf Honoi jane, lurking around that camelot guy ;) . He's a lurker man! I would prefer the guy that spent more time at the forefront of events rather than sulking in the background.

well, lets see if your hateful screed has any truth to it...

Bush's SAT score from 1968
verbal 566 (80th%)
math 640 (80th%)
overall score 1206

1968
verbal 400 (50th%)
math 450(50th%)

all you kids got markedly dumber and the SAT scores got so low, that in 1994 they "adjusted" the scores upward, so the 50th% scores now are above 500 each.
To offset the steady downward drift of test scores over the years, the scoring scale was adjusted upward so that the mean score for both math and verbal was again 500 (the midpoint on a scale of 200 to 800). Those who took the test before 1994 are now entitled to add a prescribed amount to their scores to see how they compare to students today...Doing the same for Bush gives him 640 on both verbal and math, good enough for 88th percentile on the verbal and 86th in math were he entering college now

Yale undergrad, Harvard Business School....and this indicates below average intelligence? you've got to be either kidding, or just another Bush-Hater....

liberals like to imagine they are smarter than everyone else, and if somebody doesn't share their point of view, they must be "stupid"

i bet you think i'm "stupid"

i would be delighted if you could provide us with some concrete information about your level of "intelligence", specifically your SAT scores/percentile rank, any national recognized academic honors, degrees earned and which academic institutions attended...
