President George W. Bush will be joined by Tommy G. Thompson, Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, and Tom Ridge, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, on the National Institutes of Health campus today to speak about Project BioShield. Project BioShield is a comprehensive effort to develop and make available modern, effective drugs and vaccines to protect against attack by biological and chemical weapons or other dangerous pathogens.
The address is scheduled to begin around 2 p.m. and can also be viewed by VideoCast - Web users who have RealPlayer software on their computers will be able to view the event at
