I'm not questioning whether he said it or not. Simply referring to the original story that it was the constitution he was referring to.

The simple fact is that Bush never uttered the quote you are trying to attribute to him. The scenario in which the ficticious quote was supposedly uttered is equally dubious, unsourced and likely fictional.

Its no contradiction. This whole mess started when I questioned someone else on whether or not the original story had him mentioning the constitution or the BOR. Accurate or not, the story said it was the constitution.
