Ahahahah, wonder what the almighty Rush will say in a few minutes about his Fearless Leader going after his habit,

3-1-2004 Bush Anti-Drug Plan to Target Pain Killers

President Bush's national anti-drug strategy will for the first time target the use of pain relievers, sedatives and stimulants for nonmedical purposes, a problem that has exploded in the last decade.

A key part of the strategy being released Monday involves government efforts to help states develop monitoring systems to track a patient's use of prescription medicine.

The monitoring programs flag cases that indicate a pattern of abuse, such as "Doctor Shopping", where a patient gets prescriptions for drugs from multiple physicians.

With painkillers such as OxyContin and Vicodin widely available on the Internet, "pill mills" or rogue online pharmacies will come under increased scrutiny.

Ever thought for a second that you could quit copying and pasting every article that comes across the Reuters newswire, and perhaps discuss a more selective number of them in detail? Seeing as how you haven't added any commentary for me to 'analyze' in most of your recent 'postings.'

Nothing to really 'analyze' here other than it is pretty entertaining to see Bush bite the hand of his number one fan. :D

I tihnk there's quite a lot to analyze. Namely, how he is proposing spending MORE money AFTER he's 500 billion in the hole, mostly to protect us from ourselves.

I thought you were a Bush Loyalist in CAD & Co's camp? Don't you want him to spend more on such important issues? More important than the Economy.

Reuters is FOS. While it is easy to get hydrocodone online through OPs, it is quite impossible to get Oxycontin online unless you deal with a random guy via encrypted e-mail that is most likely a scammer. Most of those guys are border jumpers from Mexico that score in Mexico and then ship OC at wildly high prices, if they don't just take the money and run. Western Union or money orders is how they do it, and WU is cracking down on transfers to that part of Cali.

If you have read ANY of my posts I am against idiocy in general. This includes Bush. I am NOT a conservative and I disagree with him on just about everything. In fact I listed 20 reasons why I hated Bush in the 'how can bush lose?' thread.

Seeing as how Rush admits it was a bad thing (the painkiller adiction/choice)... I don't see why you think he will care and I don't see why you think it's an issue....

Oxy's should come under increased scrutiny. Scrutiny should come not only from the feds but also from state and local levels.

It goes without saying . . . it's almost impossible for this guy to be a Democrat or Republican b/c his statement is just too damn reasonable.

Actually it shouldn't. If the government wants to help it should reduce access for children to alcohol and tobacco. And provide platinum-level treatment for people that want to conquer their addictions to psychoactive substances. Oxycodone is a very good drug . . . but at best . . . it's regulation should be a function of physician/pharmacy review/education. If the DOJ was reasonable I might welcome their participation but Arsecroft's DOJ sux.

You bring it upon yourself dave.

When you are fighting Tyranny you tend to be outnumbered.

You aren't fighting Tyranny dave - you are fighting yourself.

CkG

If I was fighting myself all those News articles wouldn't exist and there would be no debate as to who to vote for this November. Oh that's right, you don't debate who you should vote for, you are The Presidents Number 2 Man, even ahead of Hannity & Coulter.

Rush is hardly what I would call Bush's #1 fan. I've heard him go so far as saying Bush should resign.

Maybe you need to pull your head out and clean your ears, Rush is hardly what I would call Bush's #1 fan. I've heard him go so far as saying Bush should resign.

Would that be Rush on or off the Oxy?
