one thing that gets to me, is this new use of the words "terror" and "horror", so instead of telling people what to expect they just say "He could deliver terror", excuse me but english isnt my first language so my english grammar aint that good but the world "terror" isnt a noun right?

anyway, going to read up on the speech

What in the world does that mean?

it means "13 days in October"
I am not sure I understand your logic. Didnt Kennedy demand russia remove the missiles? Much like Bush is demanding Iraq dissarm?

Just said that the resolution from congress does not mean that war is unavoidable, but to back up UN resolutions.

I hope he is following Kennedy. Remember though Kennedy said the missles were unacceptable, then made damn sure we did not attack. That was the last thing he wanted. Kennedy never threatened to attack Russia. In fact, the Chiefs of Staff tried to create situations that would force a military solution, but JFK managed to avoid their traps. Kennedy's basic concept was the missle crisis was not a military problem but a political one. Kennedy also opposed a premptive attack on moral grounds. He did not want to create a Pearl Harbor in reverse. If you study any period of 20th century histtory, study those two weeks.

It's a Texas thing. Trust me it's how any real Texan speaks.

The White House did not request air time. If they had, it would have been on.

Because the "major" networks don't give a damn about real news or anything other than ratings. Think about it this way, ABC decides to show the speech but NBC & CBS don't. Well Average Joe Dumbass sees this and since he doesn't care about anything other than watching sitcoms, NASCAR, and eating his Hungry Man TV dinner he gets pissed and changes it to NBC, CBS, or Fox thus ABC lost a viewer. Magnify this by all the Joe Dumbasses in this country and ABC loses ratings points thus it can't charge as much for it's commercial time.

MSNBC had the first few minutes of the speech on then broke away as "it was their policy to only report headlines." THat was kinda humerous, why bother with the first few minutes.
