Bush press conference...trick question??

Someone explain to me why a reporter asking "will you promise to reduce the number of troops in Iraq next year" a trick question. He could have said because of the situation there I can't make that kind of promise, and then elaborate. Reporters need to force this guy to answer questions even though they be tough and unrehearsed. :disgust:

Bush simply didn't want to answer the question, why does it matter what reason he gives? You know what disgusts me? That some people have nothing better to do with their lives than to pick apart trick answers to trick questions in yet another vain attempt at feigning disgust.

He also stated it was up to the General if he needed more or less troops..

how you can reasonably expect him to promise to reduce the number?
