Bush plans to conquer the entire Middle East?

Bush outlines first-strike doctrine
That means taking action against hostile forces like Iraq, he said, even when multinational groups like the United Nations balk.
Among the goals, Bush said, is "supporting moderate and modern government, especially in the Muslim world, to ensure that the conditions and ideologies that promote terrorism do not find fertile ground in any nation."
This change to our foreign "war policy" gives the executive branch unprecedented power to strike nations who have WMDs.

Please tell me, what gives any country the right to take down the governments of foreign nations and replace them with something else? Don't they realize this will create hatred toward us, the likes of which has never been seen? This hatred is what fuels terrorism, for peke's sake. Geez.

CNN also continues the lie, "suicidal terrorists cannot be deterred". Sure they can. Stop messing around in other countries. Do that and you stop breeding terrorism and the support of terrorism. This is the reason other wealthy, equally free countries like Canada, Switzerland and Australia are not under attack by terrorists.

We already have.

Don't they realize this will create hatred toward us
It already has.

Then it will be the UN's turn to kiss our heiny as it has grown accustomed to throughout the years.

I would so like to hear the UN say that they could care less about the citizens of the Middle East, and only care about the cost per barrel of crude oil

The ruling party in Afghanistan farked us over...

It's iraq's turn next...maybe France after that. I'm sorry if we have a president that does not like the taste of Arab ass...

Nitemare, the UN can go suck a weenie tot. Their acceptance of sanctions against Iraq has caused over a million dead Iraqis over the last decade. They're heartless bureacrats just like the rest.

ahh... Europeans, you gotta love 'em. Remember kids, Neville Chamberlain once said "a man who could be relied upon when he had given his word" in reference to Hitler. Believe it or not, giving everything to a rogue nation does not secure peace. Look at world war 2. The British and French gave Hitler everything he wanted and there was still a war. Do you people really think that people like Saddam Hussien will actually go away?

the one million dead Iraqi's is because of one man and one man only, Saddam Hussein. He is the one that chooses to pursue a weapons program and let his people starve to death because of it...that if they don't like it he will gas him like he does all the Kurds.

The UN is at fault because, Saddam told the UN inspectors to go fark themselves, and they said ok. It is the UN's fault that they listened to him when he blew his nose on their treaty and they cowardly did nothing about it.

We have a Republican and a Texan in charge....Don't tread on us....

Yet if we do nothing, they bitch and moan and hate us for that. Let's face it: the middle east is made up primarily of barbaric people, period. Their standards and morals are below the Western world's levels. The only reason that anyone cares about that area at all is the oil. It is time for the people of the countries over there to move into at least the 19th century, if not the 20th.

I would ask this question: what gives barbarians like them the right to hold the world hostage simply because they have the oil? If they threaten us, and they have repeatedly, then in my opinion, they open themselves up to the possibility of countries like the USA coming over there and taking their damn oil fields away from them.

We don't agree with nearly all of the muslim extremists' views, but we don't go bombing their civilians and blowing up national landmarks to express our disapproval.
By doing so, they have opened up a can of worms that won't soon be closed.

So let them hate us. They always have, and always will, and I don't care. We've left them basically alone all these decades, as long as they left us alone.
They started it, now we will finish it.

Big deal. If you don't want our wrath stop killing our people. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time...I have absolutely no problem in eliminating a man who would gas his own people and pay the families of murderers of civilians 25 grand...

Dear God, we are in a whole lot of trouble if Dick Armey is the voice of reason.
MATTHEWS: We're back with Congressman Dick Army who is head of the Republican Party. He's majority leader of the US House of Representatives.

Mr. Armey, the president's people, somebody in the highest levels of this administration, is leaking the fact that the United States is planning to attack Iraq sometime in next year. Do you think that would require a congressional resolution?

Rep. ARMEY: I don't know that that leak is out there. It's--I'm missing it if it's out there. I have to tell you, Chris, in the last year or so, I've come to where I hardly trust anything I read in the papers anymore until the president of the United States tells me himself that he is planning such an operation.

MATTHEWS: Whose head would you rather get, Mr. Leader, Mr. Armey? Would you rather get the head of Osama bin Laden or the head of Saddam Hussein if you had it on the platter? If you were a salome right now and--and St. John was offering you a head, which head would you demand?

Rep. ARMEY: Well, I think right now the world would say 'We--we've got to stop bin Laden who is--who has said, "I'll take this terror to every corner of the world."'

MATTHEWS: Right.

Rep. ARMEY: Saddam Hussein is--at least is confining himself, as it is right now, to his own territory, although we're sure he's supporting terrorists across the world.

I wouldn't read past the Hardball excerpt unless you care for some guys rant.

Dick's clarification

"In my exchange with Chris Matthews tonight, I left the impression that I believe peaceful Palestinian civilians should be forcibly expelled from the West Bank and Gaza Strip. This does not reflect my views. I was merely trying to convey my strong belief that Israel should yield no further territory until its security is assured and that the individuals who support terrorist acts may properly be exiled from the area.

Damn Dick has a Ritter-sized problem with communication . . .

MATTHEWS: Well, just to repeat, you believe that the Palestinians who are now living on the West Bank should get out of there?

Rep. ARMEY: Yes.

Which of our people did Saddam kill? Most of Saddam's offenses can't be crimes b/c the US doesn't support the ICC. I hope you aren't implying that the US is above paying or providing weapons to regimes that brutally suppress their own people . . .

Indonesia
Nicaragua
El Salvador
Columbia
Peru
Chile
Cuba
Dominican Republic
Iran
Iraq
Turkey
Egypt
Panama
Pakistan
South Africa
Canada . . . just kidding . . .

History didn't start with your birth and most of it is not written in English. As soon as your world view expands beyond CNN, MSNBC, FoxNews, and even McNeil/Leher you just might understand.

Like maybe saving a mill or 2 million jews?

When a homicidal maniac has a gun pulled do the police wait until he has killed some people or do they eliminate the eventual outcome before it happens? The US, being the "worlds policeman", is just doing its job...trying to keep the world safe so you can wave your little peace symbols in the air and denounce our foreign policy.
