Russert: But you authorize the release of everything to settle this?
President Bush: Yes, absolutely.
We did so in 2000, by the way.

I'm not so sure 'released' would be the right word. From what I understand, a pool of reporters were allowed to go thru them. Nothing is to be copied or xeroxed. Any idea why this might be the case?
You know, Bush could just sign one of these forms and all of his records would be released to the public. No need to have reporters scour over some of the records in a room (with no ability of photocopy) on a Friday before a 3-day weekend (funny, why was the document dump done now??)

His medical records were not released. Each reporter was given a packet of over 400 pages.(CNN)

I'm not sure what you're saying Dave. The reporters were given their copies? Along with being able to look at the originals?
I checked CNN.com, but found nothing about 400 page packets...and the kids watching his Aristocrats tape so I can't check the tube.

He was there but who cares if he was or not 30 years ago, Some of the same people pushing this is the same ones that said what a man does before he is in the office is none of our business, I was awol 2 times in my younger days and still did my job and even got a few medals doing it, I am like a few 100000000 others and sick of hearing about it, Makes me wonder what they will come up with next

Hopefully this can put an end to all this nonsense and people will start focusing on more important issues.

By the way, I wonder who died in your place while you were AWOL? Where do you get off justifying sherking your duty?
You are so stupid, No body died when I was AWOL, It was when I was taking AIT, I had to come home for family problems , Yes some body could die in Ga. if I wasn't there, I did my duty and then some, What duty have you ever done, I know the answer to that

A retired Alabama Air National Guard (search) officer, however, said he remembers Bush being in Alabama in 1972, reading safety magazines and flight manuals in an office as he performed his weekend obligations.
"I saw him each drill period," retired Lt. Col. John "Bill" Calhoun (search) said in a telephone interview with The Associated Press from Daytona Beach, Fla.
Calhoun is the first member of the 187th Tactical Reconnaissance Group (search) to recall Bush distinctly at the Alabama base in the period of 1972-1973. He was the unit's flight safety officer.

The whole Bush records thing is just tired old news, it really is.
Its not gonna change anyones mind, just like dragging out Kerry's commie ties wont matter either.
I think each man can pretty much count on thier core support comming through.
What the election will show is just how polerized America is becoming......
