Bush on Bill O'Reilly, exclusive interview. ROUND 1

Just watched part 1 of many series on O'Reilly's exclusive interview with Bush. I felt that O'Reilly wasn't as aggresive on Bush as he is normally, particularly on IRAQ and the Mission accomplished speech.

did he do that "interview in the study" thing he did with mel gibson?
his entire show is taped but he feels the need to put a filter on the shot most often found in soap operas when doing "special" interviews.

also: transcript?

So whatever happened to that whole WMDs in Iraq and deadline thing?

O'Reilly didn't use the term "WMD", instead he used chemical weapons and questioned the whereabouts of those. Bush responded with a "I don't know what happened to them" - either because he is lying, or doesn't know any better, IMO.

Thats why I felt that O'Reilly wasn't as aggresive as he normally IS.

No no... I meant, O'Reily issued a deadline for WMDs in Iraq to be found, and he kept extending the deadline. Whatever became of that?

WASHINGTON ? Conservative television news anchor Bill O'Reilly said Tuesday he was now skeptical about the Bush administration and apologized to viewers for supporting prewar claims that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.
The anchor of his own show on Fox News said he was sorry he gave the U.S. government the benefit of the doubt that former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein's weapons program poised an imminent threat, the main reason cited for going to war.

"I was wrong. I am not pleased about it at all and I think all Americans should be concerned about this," O'Reilly said in an interview with ABC's "Good Morning America."
