who thought at the start of this he would be dropping out? wow.

Me, for one.

I'm sure I've mentioned it somewhere in the past, he never really seemed interested in being POTUS. Even when he was Governor here years ago, he was asked about it here and there, and it almost felt like he was prodded into running in the first place to me.

I meant two post obama. The pain the bush family has inflicted is still being felt today by Americans and the families of soldiers who died in a needless war.

It would be like Hitlers* brother running for chancellor in 1957.

A theoretical brother who was against everything Adolf hitler stood against.

Where did you ever get the idea Jeb was against everything Dubya stood for, if that is what you mean.

He was even consulting with many of the same people.

But it is irrelevant.

That scenario definitely wouldn't fit in with their agenda for turning the USA into that Plutocratic/Oligarchic paradise that they've been forever corrupting our politicians and judges for, now would it? ;)

But I do see what you're getting at.

If those thoughts help you sleep well at night, I wish you much peace until your awakening in November. ;)

It has nothing to do with helping me sleep, I'm just stating the truth. If you feel the three turds are good options for the GOP against the dems then more power to you.

We've already had one poster fail spectacularly at trying to predict who will win the GOP nomination, you can be his replacement.

Nope, my calculations are more reality based than his. You have Hillary in the race and you wanna talk to me about turds? That's some funny shit! :D

I never said he did not stand against what his brother was for. Electing him would be the equivalent of a third Bush term.

The halfwit Bushes are just tools for the Military industrial complex. He would just be pushed around by the curated VP who would really be the one running the country along with the other fatcats, pushing papers for him to sign etc..

He would have been a puppet like his brother. Trump pulled the curtains and made everyone see this clearly. The media was willing to keep it hush hush and play along as was the GOP.

Trump pissed in the punchbowl and ruined everyones party. Now the fatcats are gonna be forced to exercise the Hillary put option.

Trump in this 2.4 minute video pretty much said it all and this is why I think he did a lot of good for America just in getting Bush out of the picture and showing Americans what a scam it was. NOTHING Trump said in that snippet can be refuted.

When was the last time that happened with GOP? Which year, and who was the candidate?

It doesn't happen very often, actually not in the last 60-70 years, but it can happen.

GOP's last was in 1948 when Dewey was nominated after three ballots at the convention.

Dem's last brokered convention was 1952 when Stevenson was nominated after three ballots.

And you'd think Trump would trumpet and take full credit for his role in getting Bush out of the race, but guess not......

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who has for months rained withering ridicule on onetime party favorite Jeb Bush, on Sunday refused to take responsibility for the former Florida governor's exit from the 2016 White House race.

"I just don't know what did him in," Trump, who won South Carolina's Republican primary election handily on Saturday, said in an interview on CNN.

Trump had repeatedly made Bush the target of pointed attacks throughout his campaign for the Republican nomination to run in the Nov. 8 general election, labeling him "weak," "low-energy" and "an embarrassment" to the Bush political dynasty.

On Sunday, Trump denied any role he may have played in taking down Bush, who ended his campaign on Saturday night after a fourth-place finish in South Carolina.

There could be some hope for another Bush. Melvin Bush? A sequel somewhere in the future?

Jeb's Hispanic son George P. was more along the lines of what I was thinking, Rubio is pretty much an older version of him atm.

Trump and modesty, there is a joke :p
