Yesterday Old GW took American Business leaders to task for Abysmal, or as he stated "Abysasamamal" donations the Religious Charities. Old Dumb Ass said too many companies just can't give and don't want to giveto religious organizations whose intent is to solve peoples lives by helping their souls.

Yeah right, this Business failure has the nerve to tell successful Business entities what to do. Hey GW, get a Clue, why should these Companies and Corporations start giving to the Charities of your choice? They already give huge donations (all tax deductible) to other Charitable Organizations with proven track records.Worry about the Economy Stupid and let the Corporations worry about who they want to donate funds too. If you had a decent track record in the Business World then maybe they should take heed but 2 disasterous Forays into the Oil Business only to have his Daddy and his Buddies bail your sorry ass out and one successful foray into proffesional sports (and the only reason it was successful is because Texas Taxpayers funded a new Ballpark for your suck Rangers)doesn't make you a man worth listening too.

I haven't seen this news story, but I would be deeply offended if I found out my employer was donating company funds to any religious charity or cause. Religious contributions come from & be an individual choice.

A major reason for employers making charitable contributions is to boost employee morale, to make them proud to be associated with the firm. I think religious contributions would backfire big in this regard.

Corporate contributions should be both fairly neutral (i.e. widely acceptable) and up to the company.

It seems people still don't understand the concepts of "Congress" and "The Senate."

The President of the US doesn't make things happen... he just makes suggestions based on what his aides tell him. Who cares if he makes suggestions about charitable donations... they're only suggestions. He isn't telling Phillip Morris to donate billions to St. Habib's Synagogue so they can treat lepers.

Ummmm.... beavis, companies can give money to whatever they want, including religious organizations. You don't think every major companies contributes tons of money to political parties? Get over it, if it's so "offensive" that they give to a charitable organization that happens to be a religious organization, go work somewhere else.
