I say it's almost funny. The makers must have combed the statistics very carefully, picking the right measures and comparision dates over years of time to make the economy look so rosey. They must have taken lessons from the people who built the case for stockpiles of WMD in Iraq...

It's about average. It's not as deceptive as the Bush administration's case for invading Iraq or their ads about Kerry's voting record. It's more deceptive than your average penis enlargement spam.

One a 1-10 scale for all deceptive advertising/marketing (where 10 is the most deceptive), I'd rate this about a 9. If we narrow the comparison to other pitches from this administration, it's only about a 6.5: nominally factual information presented out of context in a deceptive way.

Exactly how do you know these spams are deceptive, or should I just guess?

He sure is working hard to clear that pesky brush. Does anyone have a chart comparing Clinton's brush-clearing statistics during the last three years of office to Bush's last three years? Now that would be interesting . . .

Of course they won't tell you that 5.6 unemployment rate for Clinton was down from more than 7%, while for Bush it's up from about 4% when he took office. And of course they won't mention the deficit, because in reaganomics, there is such a thing as a free lunch ;)

Well, certainly Bush has the advantage, with what -- 500 vacation days so far? That's a lot of brush clearing. I hardly think Kerry can measure up to that.

heh heh, i know johngalt is havin fun with us. meanwhile, the consumption of ice cream has increased threefold in the last 30 years...the number of car accidents has increased threefold as well. therefore, we've been warned to cut down on ice cream consumption to lower our risk of car accidents! ;)

Brush clearing is going to be the deciding factor for me in 2004.....I think Kerry and Bush should focus one of their debates on it.

First thing Monday morning I'm going downtown to change my registration to Republican. Damn, I had no idea I was so well off. Just wait 'til all those Dems find out. :p

I think Clinton was too busy playing with bush to clear any brush.

And some of you wonder why Clinton didn't want to leave Washington. It seems rather obvious.
