Thats right, the re-count in New Mexico has Bush up by 17 votes....BTW, all the votes were counted by hand So much for the idea that Hand counting is less dependable than a machine vote. Again folks, these canidates is suck.

Yeah, this can't be helping Bush add to his incredible credibility.....

Filing injunctions to stop hand count one place and not the other....

The Tallahasse Canvassind Board Director just asked that all counties that use a punch ballot be hand counted as to get "the most accurate" count possible. He makes an excellent case and also mentioned that a majority of those counties were won by Bush. Wonder if the Bush campian will seek a Federal Injunction against those too? Fvcking retards, using "big goverment" to to override the will of the states/counties, "small goverment" my ass.

Ummm.. the NW count is NOT a RECOUNT, this is the first count. They are still counting the votes that are trickling in. In fact, they still have 182 or so uncounted votes of those people that specified that they never received their ballots in the mail -- they have to verify that those people really didn't already vote. This is not a recount though, so it's not comparable to Florida where they've already had 2 counts.

But it is a hand count.

It was my understanding that the only reason that these New Mexico ballots were be counted by hand is that they we damaged in transit and were unable to be read by the machine. Tagej is correct this is the original count.

From what I understand 355 ballots were counted by hand because they could not be entered into the machine. These were supposed to be replaced during balloting with ballots that worked, but this wasn't done.

Its hand count in NM because the machines(atleast one of them) broke down. Not to mention 252 votes were missing. But later found. Theres a WHOLE lot of imcompetence in every state this year.

There are probably similar discrepancies in every state. I do agree that where the race is close, things should be looked at more closely.

In any event, this proves the need to reform the system.

Ah, the truth has emerged about the "hand count". Oh yeah, I'm sure a few hundred votes is a realistic picture of the accuracy of the method.

Give up, already. It's over.
