LOL Anyone see the news conference of Bush, which is still on now, he's in Canada. One of the news people asked Bush did he think he felt he had any responsibility to where the polls in Canada were stating that many people there were not in favor of the US. Bush explained his position very well. He said he didn't know of the polls the gentleman was speaking of. He went on to say that he was very thankful for all the Canadian people who came out to wave with all 5 fingers :) and give him a warm reception, lol.

So he stated his position of ignorance well? Good Job.

That's what Faux and other mainstream media also said about the anti-bush demonstrations during the RNC convention in NYC. They were lying. The demonstrations got bigger during each consecutive day of the convention.

I'm glad he came here.

While many Canadians may disagree with his policies, opening a line of communication is good. In recent times the two countries have not talked as they should have. And this hurts Canada much more than the USA.

Is he gone yet ? I'm not too sure, there seems to still be a foul, rotten odour pervading the Canadian air.

I admire President Bush in going to what can be a considered a hostile environment like when he went to the UK a year ago. Balls.

I'd say something but I just came off a 2 week vacation. Consider yourself lucky :)

They were captured and sent to Guantanamo.

Actually the police were on top of the situation and got things under control very quickly.

I'm always amazed at the number of people with nothing better to do than to heckle another nation's president.

I found the Caroline Parrish interview on Wolf Blitzer quite entertaining. That woman's a nutjob. She's nuts but I actually agree with her. :Q

From a Canadian's perspective, the Bush visit was typical. He asked for stuff but gave nothing in return. It's typical of the US/Canada relationship since he came into power.

That was the smell of abject fear wafting up from the chilling Canadian bodies! I hear some of them had to go home and get diddie changes too!

As long as he's asking for our exports, we're good to go. :)

He wants us to help co-ordinate the elections in Iraq, and for added support in the war on terror. Our government is considering helping out. My guess is that once the beef ban and softwood lumber tariffs are gone, Canada will be much more open to helping the US escape from the Iraq fiasco.

Then it seems to me that both sides just asked for stuff, but gave nothing in return.

Yeah that's a logical conclusion. Hopefully the two nations will start to work together. It seems as though we've hit a stalemate ever since Bush came on the scene. I would imagine that his "you're either with us or against us" point of view could make negotiating with him extremely difficult. The other side of the coin is that he is generally disliked here, and the politicians here probably snub him to save face with the public.

CNN has a tremendous neocon slant as well. Not as blatant as Faux, but still, they sure as hell are NOT liberal.

I blame that neocon visionary Ted Turner.
