Bush informed Jordanian King Abdullah, that he has changed his views re: Israels occupation plans of West Bank. No longer supporting Sharon plan... nice spin...

Also expressing that he is sorry for the torture of Iraqi prisoners by US forces. (Not mentioning Afganistan?)

And, reportedly said that Donald Rumsfeld is an essential part of his government, and will remain as one...

This just in on AP. (registration so no link... will be elswhere soon too)

Nice spin, indeed, but rather inaccurate-

http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/N07256108.htm

With Jordan's King Abdullah at his side, Bush said he would shortly send a personal letter to Qurie "that will explain my views, and we will expand dialogue between the United States and Palestinians."

"As I have previously stated, all final-status issues must be negotiated between the parties. ... And the United States will not prejudice the outcome of those negotiations," Bush said.

"not prejudice" basically amounts to letting the Israelis do whatever they want, "explain my views" means letting the Palestinians know that we'll back the Israelis 100%, and "expand dialogue" just means we'll keep up the smokescreen...
