Bush carrier photo to be used as campaign tool

Surprise Surprise. I also like the little editorial by the head of the group doing the fundraising that Clinton openly loathed the millitary. Great stuff, if negativity and opposing party bashing won't get you the presidency, then I don't know what will!

I am in the military (Navy). If Bush loves the military so much, he should give me a pay raise!! 😀

hehe, that IS true though IMO the military is underfunded, doesn't make much sense that some guy who sits in a cubicle all day makes so much more than someone who risks their life so that he CAN sit in that cubicle.

Ummm... I think that was the idea.

Citizens United, which is not affiliated with the Republican Party or the president's re-election campaign, will use money generated from the fund-raising pitch to create television ads praising Bush's leadership in the war on terrorism.

Campaign tool but not by the Republican Party

Very true.

i'm sure bush & the republicans WILL use those Bush/carrier photos during the campaign; that media shot had propoganda written all over it.

but with this economy, and victory over a year and a half in the past, and americans losing jobs, they are gonna see those propoganda shots and think that's where all their money went to, that war which really bought us nothing but debt and layoffs.

and bush will lose.

Cheap? maybe, but atleast it shows the truth. Bush does care about the military. Miss my two threads about Dem/lib ads?😉

If you people are scared of a picture of Bush on a carrier, you better quit now. Once Bush gets things going, he'll look at your tactics so far and you won't know what hit you. Becareful Dems/Libs - beer curb your tactics lest you be trounced at your own game.

My opinion:

If US forces in Iraq keep losing one or two people avery few days, then the last thing the Bush administration will want to do is use that image.

The last thing you want to do is direct attention to your president pretending to be a warrior, when real warriors have been dying every day in Iraq. In fact, if I was a Democrat looking for a good mud slinging ad, I'd show Dubya in his flights suit, smirking, and then play his little sound bite about major combat ops being over, all the while scrolling a list of names of the dead US soldiers in Iraq across the screen, then fade to black and say:

Do you want this man as your president?

😀

Cad, I'm positively shocked you aren't objecting to the lie about Clinton "loathing" the military. You seemed so concerned that ads be accurate.

Never underestimate the power of stupidity, a sucker is born everyday etc.... I hope you don't do anything drastic in 04' when human nature rares it's ungly head again....Bush will win.

I see nothing wrong with using a photo in his campaign. He isn't the first, and he won't be the last.

Don't think I said Clinton "loathed" the military. But I also think that Clinton did infact write about something to do with loathing the military. If you have some facts pertinent to dispelling what you call a lie, i'd be more than willing to take a peek at it. I don't believe I ever used the word "lie" to describe the anti-bush ads I took issue with. If you take issue with Clinton being protrayed as "loathing" the military then you better be able to show he didn't. I showed that both of the Dems/Libs ads were definately bogus and misleading.

Has anyone found the actual picture and/or mailing that went with it?

Anyone? My right-wing blind skull on legs didn't get one 🙁

Cad, I'm sure you can get one for a nominal $1,000 donation to the Bush/Cheney re-election campaign. Come on, pony up. Put your $ where your mouth is.

What if I already have? Oh, and I believe that I can give $2000. 🙂 Maybe that's why the nine dwarves are whining about campaign money - they are asking for too little 😉😛

Picture and mailing? I looked for it but couldn't find it.
