The presidential election is held on the first tuesday after the first monday in November every four years. That's it end of story. It's over now leave it alone and lets see what happens. It appears to me that Gorebot is a sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad LOSER! What now he would have us keep having elections until he likes the outcome? I think not. Besides being unconstitutional, its rediculous.

BTW, I think the Bush camp is playing this just right. Have Gorebot make an ass of himself trying to undo constitutional law, and not ever have a chance at furthering his political career.

Just remember an inaccurate count that dismisses some voters hurts a bush win. Ever heard of legitimacy? Winning because of mistakes is not honorable. People that turn out to vote should have the votes count to the person they support.

"People that turn out to vote should have the votes count to the person they support. "

Yes, they should... but it's their responsibility to get it right the first time, there're no 2nd chances, it's simply unfair.

You know I believe I understand now why Gore and Company are fighting so hard to overturn this election. It's a good bet some of the folks who threw a lot of money at his campaign gave him a call and said, "Oh no, the game's not over. Try harder." Beholden is beholden, don't ya know.

Ah, who am I kidding? He would have done it anyway. :p

Let me remind you California still has 1million uncounted absentee ballots + over sea ballots. Also New Mexico decided to recount one of their own counties due to problems with their original count of that one county. Also let me remind you, there are still abot 2 to 3million uncounted votes in the USA. Or there was early Thursday. Totals for the popular vote won't be finished till Nov 17 also.

Of course the popular vote doesn't mean anything SJ, the next person to be president of the United States will be decided by who wins Florida.

You can't say it doesn't mean anything. Its symbolic of the legitimacy of the administration:p I think i've repeated that too many times already. Look to the past to see what happens in this situation.. it isn't pretty.

It probably would be in Bush's best interest to do whatever Tripleshot says.

It seems clear that the one with the most CHARACTER will bow out for the good of the country.

I just started semi-following polotics(sp?) and the democrats have already almost proven that they're a bunch of sissys and liars who will do ANYTHING to get votes, or persuade, etc... Giving away car washes and the like is just plain pitiful. I'm a bit more in touch with democratic type views and voted democratically, but the more I learn, the less appealing democratic views and affiliation are/is.

Shux you are talking out of your ass there. There were 3.2 million absentee ballots issued. Do all of those people work in the film industry?

Actually the majority of California's absentee ballot comes from rural areas that rely mostly in the farm industry.
