They are already blocking streets around Memphis. Bush and the Japanese PM are flying in to visit Graceland and eat some ribs at the Rendezvous. I guess it is nice of the pres since the PM is a huge Elvis fan.

Where the President goes, there will only be momentary delays. It is a rolling roadblock.

I checked with the Police since I have to be in Memphis today.

Yeah, he's been in and out of Atlanta over the years. It has caused some problems but nothing worse than your average day on Atlanta roads.

Bush is making a clown out of Koizumi with all this Elvis crap.

Why? Koizumi is supposedly a big fan of Elvis. Sounds like playing good host to me.

Honestly, this is one of the few things that this Administration has gotten right....taking foreign leaders to see America outside of the DC Beltway and New York.

Condi Rice brought along some British Minister to Tuscaloosa, AL last year for the game between Alabama and Tennessee. I was there. The guy looked like he was really having a good time when they introduced him on the field for the coin toss and when they showed shots of him in the booth.

I wonder if the PM is going to have a camera around his neck and ask Dubya to take pictures at Graceland.
