Finally it's out in plain sight. Bush is a failure. Really? Shocking, he failed to find oil in texas, traded Sammy Sosa when he owned the Rangers, and well, I guess he was a success as governor, he executed more people than any other governor in modern history (152), go georgie!
hang 'em high

But now,
A majority of college history and political science professors rank President George W. Bush "below average" or deem him a "failure," according to a new expert opinion poll by the Siena College Research Institute of Albany.

I like the fact that they said that this ship ain't gonna be turned around. So uplifting. Eh what do these liberal college educated people know anyway. Oh this is what they know..
SRI has offered expert opinion ranking of U.S. presidents since 1982.

Prof's ponder dumbya's future

To paraphrase Stephen Colber:
George Bush.
Bad President or Worst President?

I am more surprised the Sun rose in the East this morning.

Most of the poly-sci professors are also dyed in the wool liberals.

Therefore if they are telling your want you want to hear; they have credibility.
They have a history of rewriting history to their viewpoint.
Young impressionable students are very succeptible to their type of brainwashing. :(

Yea, that should explain this:
"In our 2002 presidential rating, with a group of experts comparable to this current poll, President Bush ranked in the top half of all presidents,"

That's what a dyed in the wool liberal would want to see. I never liked dumbya, never will, nothing can change that. However, these experts suggested that he ranked in the top half of ALL presidents. Must be that liberal, tree-hugging slant.

Come on, you can't honestly tell me you are pleased with Bush. He's the Republicans Jimmy Carter without the humanity and intelligence.

SRI asked 744 history and political science professors at colleges and universities across the nation to rank George W. Bush on a common scale for ranking American presidents as developed by Arthur Schlesinger, Sr., more than half a century ago

COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES ACROSS THE NATION. I'll type it slowly for you this time.
across the nation, means a varied and wide selection. A good sample group for those of you who took statistics. But you'd rather pull this liberal crap instead of looking at the facts. Poor myopic zenny.

I'm surprised his "Failure" rating isn't higher than 58% considering the left leaning pool the sample was fished from.

My opinion of Bush has little to do with this poll, and how silly it is to pawn it off as anything worth discussing or taking serious, much less using it to prove a point.

Again, I ask, please show me exactly where it said the political affiliation of the people that were part of the poll.

Typically liberal in this context == worthless degree that forced them to hide from the real world in the world of education where all viewpoints are highly valued.

Being a national sample has nothing to do with the fairness of the poll when you consider the sample being polled in this case. It is widely known that academia is overwhelmingly left-leaning.

In every other poll of this nature questions are asked to determine the political leanings of the person being polled in an effort to gain an accurate sample of the population at large. (Ala CBS and their presidential job approval poll where only 23% of the sample was republican) I would imagine that didn't happen in this case.

Liberal bias in the ivory tower
By Cathy Young | April 11, 2005

YET ANOTHER study has come out documenting what most conservatives consider to be blindingly obvious: the leftward tilt of the American professoriate. The latest report, by political scientist Stanley Rothman of Smith College, communications professor S. Robert Lichter of George Mason University, and Canadian polling expert Neil Nevitte, published in the online journal Forum, paints a stark picture of a politically skewed academy. Nearly three quarters of the professors in a 1999 survey of college faculty identified themselves as left/liberal, only 15 percent as right/conservative; 50 percent were Democrats and 11 percent Republicans.

A typical reaction to such studies from the left has been to shoot the messenger without denying the basic facts of the message.

You might want to read the rankings, a lot of the top ranked ones by the so called "liberal" professors are conservatives/republicans, but don't let reality get in the way of your opinion.

Exactly Steep. Banal sound bites and slogans like EK and GEN just vomited - repeated ad nauseum - are the mainstays of rightwing political activism so they hate anyone educated enough to challage the "drumbeat" . They must be "liberal" oh noes.

Nah more like he got you. Of course being a goiod soldier ya got to stick to your guns and support your party. That's why I don't think I'll ever belong to either major party again. I believe that neither of them represent my views or the views of the majority of Americans.
