If he's guilty he should go to jail, no doubt about it.

It's a shame we don't hold everyone to the same standard.

Yea, um, liberal tree hugger here, and this has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with being a nutjob.
You attempt to murder your spouse over a divorce and it's usually not about them voting in opposition to your beliefs or party.

It is a repost, but I'm too lazy to look it up. Was quite big news here in CT when it happened. His political affiliation has nothing to do with it. Ask any attorney who does divorces and they will tell you divorces involving attorneys are the absolute worst (followed by cops, but they have a better support system usually). This guy obviously went even further, as I recall he almost beat her to death.

My apologies if this is a repost. According to an article at the ABA Journal, it sounds like a former Bush Administration White House lawyer will go on trial for the attempted murder of his wife. He became very upset when she filed for divorce. Good old fashioned Republican family values, folks!

It's a good thing only those rascal republicans would do such a thing, and I'm sure it reflects directly on the family values platforms  Does your partisan stupidity know no bounds?

Did he vote in favor of wife-beating? If not, he's a hypocrite!!

But seriously, not really politics or worthwhile news that some nobody from a past administration had a domestic dispute.

OH come on, come on, even as a fairly partisan democrat, we can't tar the entire GOP over the actions of one member.

Divorce can become an extremely emotion time. This guy let his emotions rule his behavior, very likely committed a criminal act, and will likely be punished by a conviction
in criminal court. But somehow I think politics had nothing to do with his dispute with his wife and raw anger had everything to do with the crime.

Agreed, but I think this story is still interesting because some of the lawyers for Bush were pretty high profile. I don't think anyone would really try to attach this to Bush or the Republican party. Well, maybe a few :D
