Apparently they redid the track at the las vegas speedway, and it's causing all kinds of crashes. They're 1 caution away from the record at this track. It's gonna be interesting for tomorrow's nextel cup race.

They totally rebuilt the track and infield. The track now has some serious banking which results in faster racing. Too bad I'm stuck at work and can't watch it:(

Menard just crashed. I think that either ties the caution record or breaks it. I'm flipping between this and the bigten tournament on CBS :p.

They are using a special goodyear tire to help slow down the cars and to prevent blowouts with the high banking, but so far its just lead to a lot of steering issues.

I dont see why they have to keep changing things to make the cars go slower. The drivers want fast cars. The teams want fast cars. The fans want fast cars. Seems the only people that dont want fast cars are the nascar officials. do they need some sort of waiver of liability on injury from the drivers or something?
I dont get why its so screwy with tire resrictions, aero restrictions, tank restrictions, etc that it makes nascar a sport of pansys these days.
