Bus-powered illuminated 4 port USB Hub?

hub
I was considering buying this for my arcade cabinet. I'll be using it for two N64-to-USB adapters (adapter), and one USB mouse, as well as lighting a translucent trackball (apparently without the filter, the LED is plenty bright for this application).
Just wonder if I should expect to have insuffient power problems. Am I being paranoid?

I tried a bus powered USB hub and had to return it. The devices(only 2) drew too much current through the supply USB port and caused an overcurrent condition. Used a powered hub and no more problems.

Regards
Bill

USB is rated for 500MA max, so the lights will at a minimum prevent you from plugging in a full-power device. In general, the advice is that you should get a self-powered hub if you're plugging in anything more than controller peripherals (mice, gamepads, etc).
