I would not be surprised one bit if the kids doing the bullying were AT members.

Yeah, let's give them trophies and ponies instead. I read some of your posts, and you're not all there...

Punishment is not the answer! If someone rapes you, you should let them walk free. Throwing them in jail only proves that raping you was the correct thing to do.

I just thought of the perfect punishment for those little shit heads. Force them to spend a night at the Sandusky residence

Yep.

While taking a ruler to the knuckles of a misbehaver may be a bit extreme, being sued for putting your hand over the mouth (and not hurting) a disruptive kid?

You can't give kids on a bus a time-out, and being loud can distract the bus driver and endanger all the kids.

Maybe the bus driver should have had the right to stop the bus and thrown (not literally) the kid off.

LOL, what a depraved people we are. This country is done. Only a matter of time. I predict in about 60 years (3 more gens, or 4 if we are further depraved) we will mimic the third world with isolated pockets of 'decent' human beings, who were not scared to discipline their children and teach them right and wrong.

Yeah but then Aiden will miss soccer practice!

I like the idea about creating websites or videos or blog entries that contain the video and the names of the people involved. Thanks to google and the interenet, data is never lost. That stuff will still turn up in search results a decade from now.

Bring back corporal punishment.

Now I'll probably be branded a backwards Neanderthal (or worse a NEOCON!!), for suggesting such a thing. But let's face it. When you KNOW that there's a definite punishment for misbehaving, and it's one you KNOW that you will not enjoy, the amount of crap you pull, like this, goes way down. When you know that you'll only be, at worst, slapped on the wrist, your bravery level goes way up.

Here's an idea. Give the parents a choice. Either they can punish their kids, or they can accept the punishment. Maybe, just maybe, we would then have people willing to be parents??

Bring back parents that actually raise their children properly. Teaching them how to respect other people and treat people how they themselves would want to be treated.

Ahhh... I don't know where you guys went to school but bullying and offensive language is almost as common as terrible yet delicious lunches.

You'll be 60 years too late, there are entire cities that are exhibiting these symptoms now.

Government needs to start fining bad parents for being bad parents, only way to teach them a lesson is through their wallet.

Not true about school grounds/hours at least in CT. My son was getting harassed on the bus last year and I told him to just ignore the idiot UNLESS he touches you. He was getting off the bus and the kid tripped him, so he cut loose and fought. Both ended up at the Police Station and both kids got suspended from school (1 out of school suspension/2 in-house suspension).

It's hard as a parent raising a good kid in a world full of assholes. Where to draw the line....etc

I remember our bus driver was getting razzed one day and she busted out a u-turn and took everyone back to the school. what sucked is most had nothing to do with it. But point was made.

That's another issue too, someone being harassed can't even defend themselves, whether it's another kid or a staff member. This is seen way too often where someone does defend themselves and they end up getting in trouble. In fact even when I was in school it was the same way. Now it's even worse because it even goes as far as the police sometimes.

A response like that, and I'm the one not all there?

Please reread my post. I never said the little shits shouldn't be punished. The punishment should come through the system that has authority over them, not from a bunch of anonymous vigilantes.

Is that clear enough for you?

The system is infective, and fail. Again, you're not all there...

If I were her, I'd find the meanest motherfucker I could possibly find and pay him to fuck them up on some random street corner one by one with the money that she's looking to receive.

He'd be directed to tell each one that he's coming for the next kid, and the next kid, and the next kid and they won't know when. I'd strike such fear into those little fuckers they'd live in fear the rest of their lives.

Cool story bro

Then fix the system. Unless you're convinced that you're incapable and ineffective, which seems pretty likely.

Easier said than done, so society as a whole, will do what it can; people who espouses crap like that usually are the most apathetic. And my comment wasn't hinged on just one of your posts. Still not all there.

That is true. But, while true, there are still probably more decent people than not at this point. It won't be long before decent americans are the minority. I suppose decent is a bit ambiguous, but I think most can read between the lines.

This is truly pathetic. But, based on people I even work with, I just am not surprised. Society has adopted the 'well, it doesn't affect me directly, I am not gonna say anything'

'Not my car alarm going off, so I won't even bother checking'
'Not my house where someone suspiciously looking through a neighbor's window so I will turn a blind eye'
'Not my kids that are getting bullied, so i'll just ignore it'
'I don't think it is right that <insert name here> steals, but I am not him. It is his choice and I can't judge him!'

The list goes on and on. It can be observed daily. Pathetic.
