They need to be angry enough that this never happens again. The bus monitors need to step up and report that kind of garbage, and the school needs to back them up.

OK, but it does her no favors if she is on the war path. The video is out there. It's best for her own image if she let others do the dirty work.

They deserve everything coming to them and more. And they shouldn't receive any empathy from others as they clearly have none themselves. I honestly hope the death threats to them get worse and force them into protective custody, where they'll be unable to sleep and constantly looking over their shoulder.

I will be donating to this poor lady.

She didn't do anyone any favors by putting up with those kids' crap, either. She doesn't need to be angry, but she needs to have some self-respect.

Yeah I have a feeling a nigerian prince will be getting a large some of money in the near future.

Well it's a group of young miscreant thugs-in-training with no responsibilities vs. 1 working woman.. so there's a fear of losing her job, fear of school taking the word of kids who will lie and threaten other kids to lie perhaps landing her in jail or even a sex offenders list, fear of being beat-up and/or pestered even worse if she tries to fight back.. it's too bad she probably can't even wear headphones to help ignore them because she's supposed to be "monitoring" the bus. I hope the one kid who actually touched her is given the worse punishment of the group. Anyone intentionally contacting a school official on duty for malicious reasons should be kicked out of school no questions asked. Kids like this are the reason we have a ridiculous zero-tolerance policy in place at most schools.

It's up to 317K!

Good for her.

I wish some Jr. High kids would lash out at me on camera.

If my parents ever found out I participated in something like this I'd be 6ft under before I knew what hit me.

I want some kids to pick on me now.

Maybe answered above, but how are we sure that whoever is in charge of this money will send it to her?

Also, I hope we don't see her in the news in two years for not paying taxes or some such sh*t on this money.

FWIW, IndieGogo is what The Oatmeal dude is using right now to raise money. They seem like a legitimate operation; something tells me that they haven't stayed around this long by not paying out on the donations.

This woman basically just hit the jackpot, and she deserves every single penny of it.

karma bitches, eat it for breakfast.
Internet justice can be swift, cruel, and excessive. That is excessive for sure. However, these four kids will not ever be acting like this again, nor will any kids who know them. They acted in numbers and preyed upon a victim and now the table has been turned, but piled on worse. I wonder what these kids were like otherwise. I was unequivocally never like this as a youngster and nor are most people, but I hold out hope that they are not total dipsh*ts all the time.

I saw that, too. I guess somebody had to sponsor the donation site and indiegogo managers it in some legitimate way. Looks like they charge a few percent handling fee presumably to keep it on the up and up.

I hope that each and every one of those kids is forced to apologize to her, face-to-face.

And I hope they are so terrified while doing it that they are crying.
And that someone videos it and puts it on youtube.
And it gets massive publicity.
So that years later when some place googles their names because they applied for jobs, that video comes up.

Just to add a little humor to the situation, the guy running the donation page credits his Reddit thread here for getting it viral, and his username there is 'Heavyballsareheavy' hahaha

I didn't watch the entire video just bits and pieces. These kids need a good old fashioned ass whooping. The kind where mom or dad has the kids go pick out their own nice green switch off of the tree and they get a nice beating. But, looking at the video I imagine these kids aren't held responsible for much of what they do wrong. No discipline and no accountability. Much of the blame here lies with the parents. Disgusting!

I donated and I also wrote an email to the principal of the school that these kids attend. Hopefully they're expelled and not allowed to come back.

The radio news just said she won't be pressing charges against the kids. I think that's a mistake, and gives some insight into her mindset.

While I don't think she deserved what happened to her, I think she should be fired for not reporting it. Same for the bus driver.

That makes no fucking sense!

If I were her, I'd find the meanest motherfucker I could possibly find and pay him to fuck them up on some random street corner one by one with the money that she's looking to receive.

He'd be directed to tell each one that he's coming for the next kid, and the next kid, and the next kid and they won't know when. I'd strike such fear into those little fuckers they'd live in fear the rest of their lives.

I don't like this at ALL. It's just a different set of assholes doing exactly the same thing those twerps were doing on the bus. It tells them it's okay to do it, if you think someone deserves it.

That's not the right message.
Yeah, let's give them trophies and ponies instead. I read some of your posts, and you're not all there...
