BUS for video card

as far as i know PCI express will be the new tech. used for video cards, and appearently its just as fast as AGP (i could be completely wrong though)

so i was wondering if getting a AGP card would be better, or if a PCI express card would be better

PCI express would most likely be more expensive but it will stick around longer than AGP will

and info is good

You answered your own question. PCI-E is more future proof than AGP but neither bus is close to being saturated so there will be no big performance gains except in high end workstation and bus intensive apps.

AGP will be around for a good while so dont worry... if you have the money go for PCI-E it cant hurt.

but theres nothing really to gain by getting PCI E except in high end business stuff

and they'll both still be around for a while yet?

I don't think new A64 motherboards are coming with AGP on them. Thats the only thing that bothers me. Otherwise I'd just snag an AGP MB and keep doing what I was doing before.
