Burstcoin: anybody heard of this?

It's a cryptocurrency that apparently uses your free HDD space to mine somehow. The more free space you have, the more you can mine. I'm planning to add several TBs of capacity to my existing 18tb server, and if that free space can generate me money till I use it, which very little electricity cost, maybe why not?

I dunno. It looks like 1000Burst is about 33 cents and 7tb would generate 750ish burst a day. May not be worth wearing out my drives.

I haven't messed with CCs in a while, but all the smaller ones just base their value off of BTC at the end of the day. The amount of administrative time spent on it just doesn't make sense until BTC spikes in value again.

I'm not sure what sort of algorithm is being used and how it wears out the drives, but HDDs definitely have a limited life span. I personally would want to minimize wear.
