I WISH it would cool down here! Still low-mid 80s! Should be highs in the low-mid 70s by now. Still high humidity too :(

That probably tops the list of things I DON'T miss about living in the Rockies.

The last year we were in Western Wyoming, we got over 2 feet of snow on the jobsite during Labor Day weekend. My kids still talk about setting off fireworks in 6 inches of fresh snow on the 4th of July...and it was still snowing.

There were a lot of things we LOVED about living in the Rocky Mountain region...but the winters weren't on that list...

It's supposed to be a bit warm here this week:

...UNSEASONABLY HOT WEATHER EXPECTED OVER THE INTERIOR OF
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA THIS WEEK...

UNSEASONABLY HOT WEATHER IS FORECAST OVER THE INTERIOR OF NORTHERN
CALIFORNIA THIS WEEK AS STRONG HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS OVER THE AREA.
HIGH TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 95 TO 105 IN THE
VALLEY...WITH 90S IN THE FOOTHILLS AND LOWER MOUNTAIN ELEVATIONS
FOR MOST OF THIS WEEK. SOME LOCATIONS MAY EXPERIENCE RECORD HIGH
TEMPERATURES.

OVERNIGHT TEMPERATURES COULD ALSO BE UNUSUALLY WARM AND RELATIVELY
SLOW TO COOL OFF DURING THE EVENING ACROSS THE NORTHERN SACRAMENTO
VALLEY AND FOOTHILLS.

IT WILL FEEL MORE LIKE SUMMER THAN FALL OVER INTERIOR NORTHERN
CALIFORNIA THIS WEEK EVEN THOUGH AUTUMN OFFICIALLY BEGINS TUESDAY
AT 219 PM PDT.

BELOW IS A TABLE WITH RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURES FOR SEVERAL
LOCATIONS FOR THE WEEK...SEPTEMBER 20TH THROUGH THE 25TH.

LOCATION 21ST 22ND 23RD 24TH 25TH

<--- Lives in north Denver also. We got a damn near freezing rainstorm downtown... I have a feeling I'm going to need a ski pass this year.

I can't wait till Winter, and Christmas. It's the most, wonderful time, of the year!

What I'm not looking forward to is brushing and scraping the car each day.

I'm Jealous .... in Chicago area it's still in the upper 70s, and supposed to get uber hot (above 80) again this week ....
I simply can not wait for fall and winter! More hours of dark, cooler during the day, much cooler at night, and snow!!!!!

I should seriously consider moving to Canada, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Alaska, Iceland, or Greenland.....

The problem with that is many only get dark at certain times of the year while at other times it's mostly day so unless you only vacation there it will backfire.

Yea .... I remember going to Fairbanks in the summer ... was light out 20+ hours of the day. I don't honestly think I would move that far north, instead I will just use the AC a lot for whenever it's excessively hot out (as in, more than about 75 or so with some humidity, or dry and above 80...)

Must be that cold front sneaking down into Texas tomorrow. High 90° today > 79° tomorrow with the sun out.

Could be the last day we see nineties this year, but since Sept. isn't over, it's iffy.

It was only 84 degrees out today. The car leather didn't burn so bad when I sat down.

:( This is distressing to me. Other than skiing (which I am too poor to do anyway) and how pretty the mountains look in the winter, I can't stand it. Summer ended way too fast.

Our summers are dry as hell. MOST years, we don't get any measurable rain between mid-April and November.

The winters are when we get rain...days and days and days of rain.

The past few years, we haven't gotten hardly any rain. (3rd year of drought)

You folks can have the snow...AFAIC, it belongs in the mountains above 10,000 feet...
