Burr its COLD this morning

Good grief. Remember your scarves and mittens and stay WARM, people.

I think I've acclimatized a bit too quickly to Cali weather... 40 degrees is freezing now. 😕

It has dropped down to 19F here.

That's cold for 2:30PM in Western Oregon. :Q

wtf you serious? I'm in NY for winter break but I'll be back in Boulder on the 10th for classes. Damn the lying bastards that said the average winter temp. there is 40 degrees.

Freaking south. God I hate it here.

Why the hate for the warmth?

Want to trade? It's going to be 9° tonight here.

It's not as much that I hate 70* days in January, as much as I hate how in July, it'll be 110* with 400% humidity.

Don't get me wrong though, this past Friday was my first birthday without a single flake of snow on the ground, and that kills me. 🙁

I'm from the south. January is supposed to be 60-70°.

I love those 110° days. 😉

20 degrees here in Salem, OR. Very cold for the Willamette Valley. Lightly snowing too! The drive home is going to suck, but I LOVE THE SNOW!!!!

Quick story/thread hijack:

My favorite winter was last year back home.
We had a nasty blizzard that sheeted the streets with ice, and of course the schools refused to close.

I'm not sure which was more fun, trying to drive home at 5 - 10mph in a RWD land yacht. (Which ended poorly, with my car sliding offroad and nailing a protruding manhole, leaving a nasty scrape on the front fender.) Or when I couldn't back out of my parking space at school, so I had some friends sit on the trunk for a sandbag effect.

Ah, good times.

We are having a wind chill advisory.

The wind chill will be -25 to -30 tonight until tommorow morning. Where the hell is this global warming everyone is talking about.

The weather is the weirdest in Wisconsin. Last Friday we were at >40 degrees, and today we were at -9, with a wind chill that made it feel like -20 degrees. I envy those people who never have experienced walking outside and felt their eyes burn from a small gust of wind.

Yeah. I grew up in the Eugene area, and I remember the day it got 17°F, otherwise known as "the coldest day of my life".

Then I moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, and now my coldest day is around -50°F, or so.

Its like 9 degrees here, with a -20 windchill. I have two sweaters on and two pairs of socks and I'm still freezing.

It's about 27F here in Southeast Michigan with wind chill of 20F dropping to about 12F tomorrow morning. I miss the warm winter of the South.
