Gonna have some pissed off people nearby. There aren't many other foods out there that can stink up a place faster than burnt popcorn.

I burnt popcorn in my room on Friday and the smell is still there. I'm considering opening the door/window and turning on my box fans - even if that means my freezing my ass off.
