Burnt out NEC CD/DVD... After 1 day

I posted earlier saying that my NEC drive had started to smoke and a fireery spark came from it.. so I just now opened the back of it up, and sure enough, about 1/8 is black [burnt]

Newegg would surely have to replace this after just a days use correct? I didnt play with voltages or anything of that sort..

THE THING IS. Ive had it for well over 2 months. I had to RMA a processer/video card which newegg lost and wouldnt own up to. Is there a time limit on neweggs RMAs?

I think they give you a year.
At least that's what it was for my motherboard.

Newegg's RMA are 1 year.

Just fill the RMA form out online. Make sure you send the package to Newegg via UPS or FedEx...something with traceable tracking

Warranty period is usually one year. Seller policies vary and vary per item. It may be exchangable within thirty days or it may be necessary to deal with the "manufacturer" (brand) under warrantee. Sometimes grey-market items will be warranteed by the seller when the manufacturer would not. But all of this should be detailed in the item description and sales terms. RMA is a return merchandise authorization and prolly expires within a couple weeks.
