was reheating some pizza pizza + wings on a plate in the oven... i took it out with oven mitts, and was watching family guy while standing there... picked up the plate and started walking towards the sofa infront of the TV [in apartment with a couple of guys for university]

i realized my fingers were gettin burnt to sh1t and took me like 5 seconds to get back to the counter and set the plate down. now its a small throbbing pain, doesnt hurt much but its annoying as hell. I put some ice on a paper towel and held it, seemed to have helped but now the pain is like a needle poking my thumb repeatedly.

want to know how to make annoying lil pain stop

Hair of the dog. Burn your pinky toe and your finger will no longer hurt.

Just hold it in a bowl of cold water.

For the next few days, the affected area will produce endless pain at the slightest hint of warmth or pressure. Warm water, shaking hands, adjusting the heater vent on your car...anything. Burns suck.

Seriously, though. Come on. You have no better source of first aid than to post a thread to ATOT? I mean, how inept can you be?

Flame them repeatedly, though it doesn't always work.

Go to CVS and get yourself some solarcaine spray. Works very well.

Dip it into a bottle of ink (assuming it's just a minor burn - redness, no skin blisters). I have no idea why, but it works.

It's a FREAKING burn. When it starts charring and the ashes start flaking away, come post. Until then, deal with it.

Cut your other thumb with a blunt knife and pour citric acid in the gash. I promise you'll forget the burn.
