Burnt chip on my mobo...but it still works. Should I be worried?

I know it may sound like a silly question, but I'm not exactly sure how to approach this.

The chip that's burnt is under the center PCI slot, to the left of the blue jumper pins.

What do you think that is?

pic will work if you don't use the window that's opened by clicking the link, paste it into a new window.

The chip is a mosfet, used either for switching something on/off or part of a voltage regulator for something. Hard to determine.

Yep it is a mosfet looks like for regulating the USB port voltage for that connector nearest it.

You could just unsolder it and leave the spot blank. Worst thing would be that usb connector not having power.
