Burnout Paradise MP

My friend and I are trying to play Burnout paradise online but he keeps getting kicked for low performance. I assumed it was like ping, but the game says to lower video settings...

I don't understand how that would affect anything? We can play other games just fine.

Any way to fix this or are we just screwed?

it probably is his pc, you're screwed unless you can upgrade it or put up with the lower settings

he's got it at the lowest settings and still gets kicked. i think it's his internet connection.
