Hello,

I am using Windows Millennium and I own a Yamaha CRW8424S (SCSI) writter and I have a problem when I burn. When I was under Win98, I was able to do anything while burning (except playing games, unless I lauched it before the burning), but now, under WinMe if I open IE and do some "webbing", my burning will simply crash, the bruner's light stops. It only happens when I want to type an URL in the address section. My cursor stops blinking, my burning stops and after a while if I do ctrl-alt-del, I will have a "Internet Explorer is not responding" message. Someone might have an idea on how to solve the problem? Or might my burner be the problem?

Thank you.

Guessing here, when you type the URL, the browser does a check of the disk, thus hosing your burn. I only noticed my browser doing this after I read a HTML doc in the browser that was on HD.
I think clearing the browser cache and history will clear it up.
Good Luck...

Get a good memory manager like MemTurbo 2, which will help you add disk cache to prevent buffer underruns.
