Burning UMD disc for PSP

Is it possible to burn a movie to a UMD disc?? If so I think I might get a PSP. Got alot of dvd's that would be nice to watch on psp.

It sounds like its a propritary format and its enclosed in a case, highly doubtful.

I believe UMD's run at a much lower resolution and different encoding. My friend ripped his DVD's onto his 512 meg card, and played the movies from there. I really couldn't tell a difference since the screen is relatively small.

Well, you can already upload your SNES/GBA roms to a flash gba cartridge and play it on your gba/sp/ds.

yeah but those are all nintendo software, i wouldnt be surprised if they could cross-platform
