how do you burn subchannel for audio and data w/ nero?

i was able to check the boxes for raw reading
"force raw readin' for data mode 1 and 2 both checked.
except the cd for some reason still wasn't burned properly.
i'm trying to make a backup copy of the cd
unable to play the solo/lan mode w/ that cd.
only original cd can be used for solo/lan
copies are no go.
i can use copies to play online version. but not solo/lan.
what would happen is game would load, as soon as i try and get to 'battlefield' program aborts itself, 'quits'
also tried w/ clonecd, and no go either
