I have a .bin image file of an svcd I am trying to burn. I can open the file with isobuster and see the directory structure, but if I try to convert the file to an iso, first of all the converted iso file is only 600KB??, and when I try to burn it to an svcd with cd creator, it says the file is not a valid image. What am I doing wrong? Is there another tool that can do this better?

I don't understand what you're trying to do with isobuster, the file you are converting should be in a folder named something like asveq01.mpg or something like that. It'll be less than the 700mb the disc is. In ISObuster, look around in the folders for something like that, and right click it, then extract to the folder of your choice.

The problems you are experiencing with Nero may be because its not an MPEG2 file, because only MPEG2 can burn into SVCD. You will need to convert it in order to burn it as an SVCD, which takes a long time. You may just be stuck with a VCD. And yeah, I suggest Nero to burn SVCDs, its way better. You'll need the plugin to burn svcds as well.

I know about the AVSEQ001.MPG file, is that all I really need to make the SVCD? I know how to extract those and watch them on WMP. I was just thinking that all of the other directories/files were used for something else. Actually the whole reason I was trying this was because the video was really choppy on WMP. I was thinking if I burned it to an SVCD and got a dvd player such as windvd or powerdvd it would help. Maybe not....

Also what if I have only a bin, but not a cue? Can I reconstruct the cue somehow? That was why I was trying to convert it to an iso instead, which also did not work.

a VCD bin/cue has 2 tracks, ISOs don't do that.

Pretty much, if you have a tool to generate a proper bin/cue combo from that for burning but it seems you already have that.

I don't know if it would help, off the top of my head though I would say it most likely would not. Maybe a new codec or something would help.

With regards to the bin/cue thing, I think Golden Hawk can generate its own cue file.
