Hello, here's my situation. I have an ati hdtv wonder. I recorded some golf in high definition. And after this I have no idea how to burn it to dvd. This is what I tried. I exported my golf to both mpeg2 and mpeg4 (in high quality dvd 720x480) and tried to see if nero express would recognize these files to burn to a dvd. None of the mpeg's show up as the files that they want: .bup, .vob, and .ifo. I thought .mpg's were the kind of files you burn to dvd, but now I need to turn my mpeg's into one of those three file types (I'm guessing), so how do I do that or is there something else I'm forgetting?

you need "DVD authoring" software like DVD Lab and DVD Author, or some package that came bundled with your card.

DVDs use MPEG2 but you need the VOB, IFO stuff to make a real video DVD instead of just a data DVD with files on it that happen to be MPEG2.

www.dvdrhelp.com and www.doom9.net have some info on this, and use Advanced Search here to find more.
