Burning .raw CD Image

I downloaded the Debian woody cd image today, and it's in .raw format, which I've never dealt with before. I'm pretty sure it's like an iso, but I can't burn it in the same way I would normally for a .iso file. Someone suggested renaming it to .iso and that should work. Ideas?

here's one link to start with

if you're already using linux, i think cdrecord; xcdrecord; gcombust will allow you to burn CDs

you might also want to try burning it as a "track image" in nero

i've never done any of these myself...but they might provide a starting point...shouldn't be *that* difficult to figure it out
