Dell E521 Vista Home Premium Creator 9I tried to update the firmware on my Philips HTS6500.
I downloaded the file extracted and burned using data utility in Creator 9. the file can be found here:
http://www.usasupport.philips.com/produ.../37&subCat=HOME_THEATER_SU_US_CONSUMER
The Device rejects it as unreadable file.
When I explore the created disc the G63G3 BIN 2.7 MB file is present.
I repeated the procedure and burned 5 disc with the same results.
Downloaded the same file on my HP DV1000 with XP Pro.
Followed same procedure. Burned with older version of Creator. Insereted in Device it read the file immediatly and upgraded the firmware.
I was ready to send the unit back to Phillips as defective.
Is there aproblem with Creator? VISTA? Hardware?
